Abstrak

This research focuses on Developing Al-Qur’an Reading Skills Using the Tahsin Method in the KOPEA (Al-Qur’an Lovers Community) Activities at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. There were two Research questions addressed in this research, tose were: 1) How is the Development of Quranic Reading Skills conducted at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona? (2) What is the Tahsin Method employed in the activities of KOPEA (Quran Enthusiast Community) at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona? (3) What are the challenges and solutions encountered in developing Quranic Reading Skills using the Tahsin Method in the activities of KOPEA (Quran Enthusiast Community) at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona. The objectives in this research were: 1) to understand how the development of Quranic reading skills is conducted at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona, 2) to understand the Tahsin method employed in the activities of KOPEA (Quran Enthusiast Community) at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona, and 3) to identify any challenges in developing Quranic reading skills using the Tahsin method at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona. This research utilizes a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The study is conducted at Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School in Polinggona. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments include observation sheets, interview sheets, and documentation. The collected data will be analyzed by reducing the data, presenting the findings, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the development of Quranic reading skills using the Tahsin method receives a positive response from non-residential students as the main target. Participants feel that this activity truly provides a solution for those who have difficulty reading the Quran.
